Maya sat nervously in the passenger seat of Sean's car, fidgeting with her hands as they drove to the doctor's office. "I'm going to run some tests, but I think it's likely that you're...pregnant." Maya's eyes widened in shock as she turned to Sean. He looked just as surprised, his eyes wide with excitement. The doctor smiled. "Let's run some tests to confirm, but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on," he said. "You're about...oh, let's see...twelve weeks along, I think." Maya felt like she had been punched in the gut. Pregnant? She was pregnant? She looked at Sean, who was grinning from ear to ear. Sean stood up, pulling Maya into his arms. "We're having a baby!" he exclaimed, his voice full of excitement. Maya couldn't help but laugh, feeling a sense of shock and wonder wash over her. She was going to be a mother.
