A Spark of Attraction
Part 2
The fluorescent lights of the Daily Bugle's newsroom hummed overhead, casting a sterile glow over the rows of desks and computers. Peter Parker adjusted his camera lens, focusing on the commotion near the conference room. Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, was chatting with J. Jonah Jameson, and Peter couldn't help but be drawn to the scene. As he snapped a few shots, Johnny caught his eye and flashed him a charming smile. Peter felt a jolt of surprise, his heart skipping a beat as he quickly looked away. He couldn't believe he was so affected by the Human Torch. Jameson stormed out of the conference room, his scowl deepening as he spotted Peter. "Parker, get back to work! I don't pay you to socialize with our guests." Peter nodded hastily, turning back to his camera as he tried to focus on the story at hand. But he couldn't help sneaking glances at Johnny, who was still chatting with Jameson. As the meeting broke up, Johnny walked over to Peter, his piercing blue eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hey, you're the photographer, right?" he asked, his voice low and smooth. Peter nodded, feeling a little shy. "Yeah, I'm Peter Parker." Johnny chuckled, his blonde hair gleaming in the fluorescent light. "I'm Johnny Storm. It's great to meet you, Peter." As they shook hands, Peter felt a spark of electricity run through his body. He quickly pulled his hand back, trying to play it cool. "Nice to meet you too, Johnny." Johnny grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "So, Peter, what do you think of the Bugle?" Peter shrugged, trying to focus on the conversation. "It's a great place to work. I love the energy of the newsroom." Johnny nodded, his smile growing wider. "I can see that. You seem like a guy who thrives on excitement." As they talked, Peter found himself feeling more and more at ease around Johnny. He was easy to talk to, and his quick wit and infectious laugh made Peter feel like he'd known him for years. But as they chatted, Peter couldn't help but notice the way Johnny's eyes sparkled when he smiled, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. He felt a flutter in his chest, and quickly looked away, trying to compose himself. Johnny, however, seemed oblivious to Peter's reaction. He continued to chat with him, asking him about his favorite photography spots and his experiences as a freelance photographer. As they talked, Peter found himself feeling drawn to Johnny in a way he couldn't quite explain. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this way about someone. As Johnny turned to leave, he placed a hand on Peter's shoulder, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through Peter's body. "It was great meeting you, Peter. Maybe I'll see you around sometime?" Peter nodded, feeling a little flustered. "Yeah, that would be great." As Johnny walked away, Peter couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He had a feeling that his life was about to change in ways he never could have imagined. And as he watched Johnny leave the Bugle, Peter couldn't help but wonder if he was ready for what was to come.
