**Beneath the Surface**

Part 9

Nozomi's eyes welled up with tears as Saki's gaze lingered on her face, and Rin could see the panic rising to the surface. Nozomi's hands were clenched into fists, and she kept shifting her position, as if trying to find a way to alleviate the discomfort. Her eyes darted towards Rin, and for a brief moment, they locked gazes, a silent plea for help. Saki's eyes narrowed, her attention fixed on Nozomi's behavior. She took a step closer, her voice soft and gentle. "Nozomi, what's wrong? You're scaring me." Nozomi's face crumpled, and she looked away, her shoulders shaking as she tried to hold back tears. Rin could see the tension in her body, the way she kept her legs pressed together, as if trying to hold herself together. Saki's gaze dropped to Nozomi's hands, which were clenched into fists. And then Rin saw it - Nozomi's hands kept twitching, as if she was trying to reach for something, but couldn't quite bring herself to do it. Saki's eyes followed the movement, and her expression changed from concern to understanding. Rin knew that look, that realization. Saki had figured it out. She had pieced together the clues, and now she knew that something was very wrong. Nozomi's eyes met Saki's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Rin could see the pain and fear in Nozomi's eyes, and she knew that she was in trouble. Saki's hands reached out, and she gently began to unfasten Nozomi's pants. Nozomi's eyes widened in panic, and she grabbed Saki's wrist, her nails digging into her skin. "Please don't," Nozomi cried, her voice shaking. Saki's voice was firm, but gentle. "Move your hands, Nozomi. I need to see." Nozomi's grip on Saki's wrist tightened, and she shook her head, tears streaming down her face. Rin could see the desperation in her eyes, the fear that Saki might discover the truth. Saki's expression was calm, but firm. She tried to gently pry Nozomi's hands off her wrist, but Nozomi held on, her body shaking with fear. The room was silent, except for Nozomi's ragged breathing. Rin could feel the tension building, the weight of Saki's gaze on Nozomi's face. She knew that this was it, the moment of truth. And she had no idea how it was going to play out.
