"Obsessed with the Unfamiliar"
Part 2
Sangwoo's eyes were glued to his laptop screen, scrolling through the Sidemen Instagram post, and then their own Instagram accounts. He couldn't believe how much he was drawn to Jason, or as he was known online, his internet name was unknown but they called him JasonTheWeen. As he continued to scroll through the slideshow, he finally got to see a few photos of Ron, Lacy, Adapt, Max, and Silky, along with a few others. Sangwoo had to admit that there was a lot of content about Faze and the Sidemen but there was little to none about Insiders 2. JasonTheWeen on instagram had 979 thousand followers and his following list was public. Sangwoo began to browse through his following list, and saw that he followed a lot of popular YouTubers and Streamers as well as a few other people. But what caught his attention was that he didn't follow anyone that Sangwoo could see, Sangwoo almost felt a pang of sadness. Why wouldn't Jason want to follow anyone back? As Sangwoo continued to explore, he finally found a photo of Jason, or at least it seemed like it was a photo, with a group of people that he assumed were his friends and or colleagues. Sangwoo zoomed in, trying to see if he could tell anything about them. A few of them looked nice but Sangwoo didn't care, his eyes kept drifting back to Jason. As Sangwoo continued to explore his laptop, he learned that Insiders 2 was going to have a premiere, probably soon. All of the Faze boys were going to be there, and so were some other people. This wasn't really new information to Sangwoo, but what was, was that Jason seemed like the only one that actually mattered. The rest were just blurred into the background, Sangwoo barely even noticed them. They were always shown flirting with girls, teasing each other about looks or gaming skills, and everyone was always talking about something completely mundane, like adapting to routines in gym. Sangwoo couldn't help but feel a pang of discomfort as he watched videos and looked at photos of Jason with other people, mainly because they all seemed so... happy. And he was just sitting there, alone in his room, obsessing over a boy he'd never met. But as he continued to watch, he started to feel a connection to Jason, like they were kindred spirits or something. He began to look through YouTube and other social media sites, trying to get as much information as possible about Jason and the rest of the Faze crew. Sangwoo found himself laughing at some of the funny moments Jason had on stream and on YouTube videos. Sangwoo started to feel bad for himself. He had never really felt this way about anyone before. His life had been so monotonous and grey. Now, everything felt different, and for the first time in his life, he felt truly alive. As he sat there, scrolling through his laptop, Sangwoo began to formulate a plan. He needed to see more of Jason. He had to learn more. Find out everything there was to know about him and maybe even watch him on stream or YouTube. This was what he had been missing, excitement and drive to do something. The lights in his room were off, but Sangwoo didn't care, his eyes were glued to the screen as he continued to learn everything he could about Jason. His mom knocked on the door, reminding him that it was getting late and that they had an early flight in the morning. Sangwoo didn't care, though. For the first time in his life, he felt something real.
