**A Night to Remember**
Part 14
The warm sunlight had long since faded, replaced by the soft glow of evening, and Kenzy and Levi had finally torn themselves away from the comfort of their room, deciding it was time to join the others for dinner at the headquarters. As they made their way to the dining hall, the sound of laughter and chatter grew louder, and Kenzy's stomach growled in anticipation. She had been looking forward to this all day, and the prospect of sharing a meal with Levi and their friends was almost too exciting to bear. As they entered the dining hall, Kenzy was greeted by the familiar faces of their friends. Hange was already seated, surrounded by various contraptions and gadgets, while Erwin sat at the head of the table, a serious expression on his face. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were chatting quietly, while Jean was regaling Sasha and Connie with a story, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Kenzy and Levi made their way to the table, and were immediately swept up in the warm atmosphere. "Hey, you two lovebirds," Jean said, grinning, as he patted the empty chair beside him. "Glad you could join us." Kenzy blushed, feeling a little self-conscious, but Levi just chuckled and sat down beside her, his arm brushing against hers. "Sorry we're late," he said, smiling at Erwin. "We got a little...distracted." Erwin raised an eyebrow, but said nothing, simply nodding in greeting. "Please, take your seats. We're just getting started." As they sat down, Kenzy couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She loved spending time with their friends, and dinner at HQ was always an adventure. Hange was already pulling out various dishes, and the smell of food wafted through the air, making Kenzy's stomach growl even louder. "So, what's on the menu tonight?" Armin asked, peering at Hange's creations. "Ah, I've made a few new dishes," Hange said, beaming. "Try the...uh... 'Titan Tartare'." Mikasa raised an eyebrow. "Titan Tartare?" Hange nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, it's a new recipe. I think you'll find it's...enlightening." Eren, ever the jokester, chimed in. "I'm not sure if I want to eat something that's been 'enlightened'." The group erupted into laughter, and Kenzy couldn't help but join in. As they dug into their meal, the conversation flowed easily, with stories and jokes being shared around the table. As they ate, Kenzy felt grateful for this little slice of normalcy in their chaotic world. Despite the dangers they faced, they had each other, and that was all that mattered. As dinner drew to a close, Erwin stood up, a serious expression on his face. "I have a few announcements to make," he said, his voice commanding attention. The group fell silent, their eyes fixed on Erwin. Kenzy felt a sense of trepidation, wondering what news he might share. She leaned in, her eyes locked on Erwin's, as he began to speak.
