"Midnight Mayhem at Streamer University"
Part 1
The clock had just struck 11:30 pm, but the community space in Ray and Tota's dorm was still buzzing with life. Ray, a 19-year-old streamer from Taiwan with a distinctive high-pitched voice and thick Asian accent, was lounging on a couch, chatting with his friends. His short, curly black hair was mussed, and his beautiful brown eyes sparkled as he laughed with Rakai, a 16-year-old student with a sassy attitude and a penchant for flirting. Tota, Ray's roommate from Brazil, was sitting next to Ray, trying to follow the conversation despite his limited English. The air was thick with the smell of pizza and energy drinks, and the sound of gaming consoles and lively chatter filled the room. The group was having a great time, joking and teasing each other, when suddenly, the door burst open and a random guy stormed in. "You! Tota! You're the one who's been ding dong ditching at my room!" he exclaimed, his face red with anger. Tota looked confused, and Ray immediately jumped to his defense. "No way, man! Tota was with me all day. He didn't leave my side for a second," Ray said, his stutter becoming more pronounced as he got agitated. "I-I-I mean, w-we were together, y-you can ask anyone," he added, looking around the room for support. The random guy scowled, clearly not believing Ray. "No, I saw him sneaking around my room earlier. He's gotta be the one who's been pranking me!" The argument quickly escalated, with the random guy getting more aggressive and Ray becoming more defensive. Tota tried to explain that he didn't understand what was going on, but his limited English only made things worse. Rakai, sensing things were getting out of hand, tried to intervene, but the random guy was too worked up to listen. The commotion spilled out into the hallway, with the group arguing loudly. Tylil, a 24-year-old student with a calm demeanor, happened to be walking by and heard the ruckus. He stepped in, trying to de-escalate the situation. "Hey, hey, let's calm down, guys. What's going on here?" However, instead of helping, Tylil inadvertently took sides with the random guy, saying, "Dude, if you're saying Tota was at your room, maybe we should listen to him." Ray's eyes widened in shock. "N-no way, Tylil! You know Tota wouldn't do something like that!" The random guy seized the opportunity to pile on, and the argument continued to escalate. Rakai, worried that he might get caught in the crossfire, grabbed Ray and Tota's arms and pulled them back into their room. "Guys, let's just go, okay? This is getting out of hand." Ray and Tota exchanged a frustrated glance, but eventually, they relented, following Rakai back into their room. As the door closed behind them, Rakai let out a sigh of relief. "Man, I'm outta here. Jamal's waiting for me back at our dorm." He gave Ray and Tota a sympathetic smile. "You guys should get some sleep, huh? This can wait till morning." With that, Rakai bid them a quick goodnight and headed back to his own dorm, leaving Ray and Tota to try and get some rest after the chaotic encounter. As they settled in for the night, Ray couldn't shake off the feeling that the random guy's accusations were more than just a coincidence. He wondered if there was more to the story, and if Tota's safety was at risk. The events of the night had left him with more questions than answers, and he couldn't help but feel that this was only the beginning of a much larger drama.
