**Chapter 1: The Uncomfortable Truth**

Part 1

The lights of Lacy's room illuminated the group of friends as they lounged around, engaged in a live stream for their YouTube channel, Faze. Jason, with his bleach-dyed hair and brown eyes, stood beside Ron, who was trying to stifle a laugh. Adapt, sitting on the floor, was busy fiddling with his gaming controller, while Silky and Lacy leaned against the wall and gaming chair, respectively. Banks, the CEO and boss of Faze, sat in the corner, observing the group with a hint of amusement. The conversation flowed easily, with the group discussing their past antics on live streams and YouTube videos. Jason's eyes sparkled as he recounted a particularly hilarious moment from a previous stream. The group erupted into laughter, and even Banks cracked a smile. However, the tone shifted when the topic turned to Jason's past escapades. The group teased him good-naturedly, and Jason playfully defended himself. Banks, still smiling, interjected, "You know I could take all of your clothes off and have sex with you if I wanted, even if you didn’t want to." His words hung in the air, and the group's laughter ceased. The room fell silent, with all eyes on Banks. Adapt's expression transformed from amusement to concern and confusion. He had known Banks for over 12 years, and this was a side of him he had never seen before. Ron awkwardly laughed, trying to diffuse the tension, but his eyes darted to Jason, who stood frozen beside him. Silky, standing across from Jason, looked agitated and baffled. Lacy, however, seemed unfazed, softly chuckling at the joke. Jason's face turned pale, and his eyes widened in horror. He couldn't move, couldn't speak, as his boss's words sank in. Banks' smirk grew, and he glanced around the room, expecting someone to share in his amusement. The atmosphere in the room became increasingly uncomfortable, with the group's dynamic shifting in an instant. Adapt's eyes locked onto Jason, sensing his distress. Silky's gaze also turned to Jason, and he decided to intervene, speaking to him instead of Banks. "Jason, did he just say he could take advantage of you?" Banks broke the silence, his voice still flat and serious. "I did, you could too if you wanted, all of you could, even Ron." The room seemed to shrink, with the group's collective unease palpable. Adapt's face turned stern, and he opened his mouth to speak, but Ron intervened, loudly addressing the cameraman. "Cut the stream." The pause that followed seemed to stretch on forever before Ron repeated his command, this time yelling, "NOW." The cameraman swiftly ended the stream, and Ron grabbed Jason, pulling him out of the room and outside. Adapt stood up, walking towards Silky, sensing his anger. "You can't just tell somebody that you can rape them," Silky angrily shouted. Banks glared up at Silky, his expression unyielding. "I was just being honest," he argued back. Adapt joined the conversation, his voice laced with concern. "Ricky, as long as I've known you, you've never spoken like that. Why would you even think something like that?" Banks scowled, his eyes flashing with annoyance. "Jason is the youngest member, he is also 19 years younger than you, you are our boss Ricky, you cannot speak to him or anybody else like that. It's inappropriate," Adapt continued, trying to reason with Banks. However, Banks was unmoved, rolling his eyes in response. Silky scoffed, grabbing Adapt's arm and pulling him towards the door. "He's not going to listen, don't bother trying." The group swiftly filed out of the room, leaving Banks sitting alone, still wearing that unsettling smirk. As they stepped outside, the warm California air enveloped them, but it did little to ease the tension. The group's dynamic had been disrupted, and the uncomfortable truth lingered: what had just transpired in that room could never be ignored. Jason's distraught face haunted them, and the question on everyone's mind was: what would happen next?
