**Chapter 3: "The Revelation"**
Part 3
The crowded corridors of the Melbourne Arena seemed to close in on Luiza as she spotted Jasmine, Jack's fellow tennis player, across the room. The air was thick with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the hum of excited chatter, but Luiza's world narrowed to a single point: the woman who had destroyed her marriage. Her heart racing, Luiza made her way through the crowd, her eyes fixed on Jasmine's radiant smile. As she approached, Jasmine looked up, sensing Luiza's presence. For a moment, they locked eyes, the tension between them palpable. Luiza felt like she'd been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her. She had suspected, of course – the cryptic message, Jack's evasive behavior – but to see Jasmine, to know that she was the one, was a different thing altogether. Luiza's mind reeled as she tried to process the emotions swirling inside her. Anger, sadness, betrayal – they all fought for dominance, leaving her feeling raw and exposed. She took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving Jasmine's face, and asked, "Can I talk to you for a minute?" Jasmine nodded, a hint of curiosity in her expression. They stepped aside, out of the flow of people, and Luiza asked, her voice barely above a whisper, "How long have you and Jack been together?" Jasmine's expression turned calculating, and for a moment, Luiza wondered if she'd made a mistake. But then, with a sly smile, Jasmine said, "Long enough." Luiza felt a stinging sensation in her eyes, but she refused to cry. Not here, not now. "What do you want?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady. Jasmine's smile grew wider. "I think you know, Luiza. I'm not sorry. Jack and I...we just clicked. He's a great guy, and I'm not going to apologize for being attracted to him." Luiza's anger flared, but she bit it back, determined not to give Jasmine the satisfaction. Instead, she asked, "Did he tell you about me? About Lucas?" Jasmine shrugged. "He mentioned you, of course. But I knew you were his wife, Luiza. I knew you had a life together." The words cut deep, and Luiza felt like she'd been punched again. She turned to leave, but Jasmine called out, "Luiza?" She turned back, her eyes locked on Jasmine's. "Yes?" "Tell Jack I said hi," Jasmine said, her smile dripping with malice. Luiza's face burned with anger, but she kept her cool, turning on her heel and walking away. She didn't dare look back, fearing what she might see. The corridors seemed to blur together as she made her way back to their hotel room, her mind reeling with the revelation. As she pushed open the door, Jack looked up from his phone, a question in his eyes. "Hey, how was your day?" Luiza's smile felt like a lie, but she pasted it on, trying to keep up the charade. "It was fine. Just got a bit lost in the corridors." Jack nodded, his eyes searching hers. He knew something was wrong, and Luiza could see the tension building in his body. But she wasn't ready to talk, not yet. She had to process this, to figure out what it meant for their marriage, for their family. As she changed into comfortable clothes, Luiza felt like she was living a lie. She and Jack had a routine to keep up, for Lucas's sake, but it felt like a fragile facade, one that could shatter at any moment. She glanced over at Jack, who was watching TV, his eyes fixed on the screen. For a moment, their eyes met, and Luiza saw a flicker of concern there. But she looked away, unable to bear the weight of his gaze. Not yet, she thought. Not until I'm ready. The rest of the evening passed in a blur, Luiza going through the motions, pretending that everything was fine. But it wasn't fine. Nothing was fine. And as they settled in for the night, the silence between them felt like a chasm, a reminder that their marriage was on the brink of collapse. As she lay awake, Luiza couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. She knew that she had to confront Jack, but she was scared of what she might find out. The thought of their conversation tomorrow, or the day after, or whenever Jack decided to face her, made her stomach twist into knots. But she knew she couldn't keep this inside forever. Eventually, she'd have to confront the truth, and the man who had shattered her world. The question was, would their love be strong enough to survive the revelation?
