**Chapter 1: The Unseen Past**
Part 1
The sun had just begun to set, casting a warm orange glow over the Demon Slayer Corps' headquarters. The nine Hashiras, all dressed in their formal attire, stood gathered in the grand hall, their eyes fixed on their Master, Ubuyashiki. They knelt down in unison, their movements fluid and practiced, as they awaited the start of the meeting. Mitsuri, the lovely and gentle Hashira, was the first to speak up. "Master, we have all gathered as you requested. Please, tell us what this meeting is about." Her voice was like music, soothing and melodic. Kocho, the stoic and composed Insect Hashira, nodded in agreement. "Yes, Master. We are all present." Tomioka, the Water Hashira, stood tall, his eyes fixed intently on Master Ubuyashiki. His expression was as calm and collected as ever, but a hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes. Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, grumbled under his breath, "I hope this meeting doesn't take too long. I have more important things to attend to." His rugged demeanor and rough voice were a stark contrast to the elegance of the grand hall. Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, stretched his lean body, his movements almost serpentine in their fluidity. "I'm ready when you are, Master," he said, his voice low and smooth. Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, radiated an aura of confidence and energy. "Let's get started, Master! I'm eager to hear what you have to say." Gyomei, the Stone Hashira, nodded his massive head, his eyes shining with a deep wisdom. "We are all here, Master. Please, proceed." Uzui, the Sound Hashira, bounced up and down excitedly, his twin daughters, who were seated at the back of the hall, watching with wide eyes. "Yeah, let's get this meeting started! I'm starving!" Muichiro, the young and agile Mist Hashira, looked a bit out of place among his older peers. He fidgeted with his sleeves, his eyes darting between Master Ubuyashiki and the other Hashiras. Master Ubuyashiki smiled warmly, his eyes twinkling with kindness. "Thank you, Hashiras. I'm sure you're all aware that our organization has received a...disturbing letter." The Hashiras exchanged concerned glances. Tomioka spoke up, "What kind of letter, Master?" Master Ubuyashiki's expression turned serious. "It's from Giyuu Tomioka's parents. They claim that, as his legal guardians, they have the right to take him back now that he's sixteen." The Hashiras gasped in unison. Mitsuri's eyes widened in shock. "But, Master, Giyuu is one of us! He's a Hashira!" Kocho's voice was laced with concern. "What could they possibly want with him after all these years?" Sanemi snorted. "Probably just want to use him for their own gain." Rengoku's face darkened. "We can't let them take him away. Giyuu is a valuable member of our team." Gyomei's deep voice rumbled, "But, Master, do we have any say in this matter?" Uzui piped up, "Yeah, what's going to happen to Giyuu?" Master Ubuyashiki's expression remained grave. "That's what we need to discuss. Giyuu's past is...complicated. Only I, and he, know the truth. But one thing is certain: if he returns to his parents, they will not hesitate to use him for their own purposes." The Hashiras looked at each other, their faces filled with worry and concern. Little did they know that Giyuu's past was far more sinister than they could ever imagine...
