**Chapter 3: Shadows in the Night**

Part 3

Hange's gaze lingered on mine, the flicker of uncertainty in his eyes sending a shiver down my spine. I could sense the tension coiled in his body, like a spring ready to snap. The dim lighting of the alleyway cast eerie shadows on the walls, making me feel like we were trapped in a nightmare. "What's going on?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Hange's jaw clenched, and he took a deep breath before speaking. "It seems our precautionary measure was necessary. We have a problem." His eyes scanned the surrounding area, as if searching for potential threats. I leaned in, my heart racing with anticipation. "What kind of problem?" I pressed, trying to keep my voice steady. Hange's expression turned grim. "One of my associates just informed me that there's been a security breach at the warehouse. Someone's been snooping around, looking for information." My mind reeled as I tried to process the information. Who could be behind this? And what did they want? I felt a surge of fear, thinking about the potential dangers that Hange faced. As if sensing my fear, Hange wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. "Don't worry, my love. I'll take care of it. You're safe with me." His voice was reassuring, but I could sense the underlying tension. I nodded, trying to calm down, but my mind was racing with questions. What was happening? Who was behind this? And what did they want from Hange? The limousine's door opened, and Hange's driver, a burly man with a stern expression, peered in. "Sir, we need to get out of here. We can't stay in one spot for too long." Hange nodded, his eyes locked onto mine. "Let's go." He helped me out of the limousine, and we stepped into the cool night air. As we walked, Hange's arm wrapped around me, I noticed that the alleyway was eerily deserted. The only sound was the distant hum of traffic, and the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet. Suddenly, Hange stopped, his head cocked to one side. "Do you hear that?" he whispered, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. I strained my ears, and after a moment, I heard it too – the soft rustling of fabric, followed by the sound of footsteps. Hange's grip on me tightened, and I felt a surge of adrenaline. "Let's go," he whispered, his voice low and urgent, as he pulled me into the shadows. We melted into the darkness, our hearts pounding in unison, as the footsteps drew closer.
