## Chapter 2: "Behind Closed Doors"
Part 2
Minjoo's thoughts swirled as she walked back to her room, her mind reeling from the engagement announcement. She had always known this day would come, but she had never truly considered what it would mean. As she entered her room, she collapsed onto her bed, running her hands through her hair. Her best friend, Yoon-ah, burst into the room, a concerned look on her face. "Minjoo, I heard about the engagement. Are you okay?" Minjoo sighed, feeling a mix of emotions. "I don't know, Yoon-ah. I feel like I'm trapped." Yoon-ah sat down beside her, taking Minjoo's hand in hers. "Tell me everything. What's going on?" Minjoo hesitated, unsure of how to express her feelings. "It's just... Chaewon and I, we're not really in love. We're just doing this because of our families." Yoon-ah nodded understandingly. "I know. But what's really going on? You seem distant lately." Minjoo took a deep breath, confiding in her friend. "I have feelings for someone else, Yoon-ah." Yoon-ah's eyes widened in surprise. "Who is it?" Minjoo glanced around the room, ensuring they were alone. "It's Yujin, the basketball player. I've had a crush on him for ages, but I never thought anything could happen because of this engagement." Yoon-ah's expression turned thoughtful. "Minjoo, you deserve to be happy. If you truly have feelings for Yujin, maybe you should explore them." Minjoo nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "You're right. I need to figure out what I want." As the days passed, Minjoo found herself growing more and more distant from Chaewon. They would meet for meals or attend social events, but their interactions felt forced, lacking the warmth and intimacy that a couple should share. Minjoo, on the other hand, was drawn to Yujin, their paths crossing more frequently as they spent time together. She couldn't help but notice the way he smiled, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners, or the way he moved with a quiet confidence that she found captivating. Chaewon, however, seemed oblivious to the changes in Minjoo. He continued to treat her with a polite affection, never once suspecting that her heart belonged to someone else. As Minjoo navigated her feelings, she began to feel a sense of guilt. She was engaged to Chaewon, but her heart was elsewhere. She didn't know how to reconcile her emotions, torn between her loyalty to her family and her growing feelings for Yujin. In the silence of her room, Minjoo made a vow to herself: she would follow her heart, no matter the cost. Little did she know, her decision would set off a chain of events that would change her life forever.
