**Chapter 48: Sharing the Joy**

Sharing the Joy Ashley and Ryan headed to Erica's house, eager to share the news with their friend. As they pulled up to the house, Ashley's excitement grew. She couldn't wait to tell Erica that she was going to be an aunt. Ashley ran to the door, Ryan following close behind. She flung open the door and exclaimed, "Hey, sis!" Erica was sitting on the couch, looking up from her book. Ashley smiled mischievously as she approached Erica. She sat down beside her and took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant," Ashley said, her voice barely containing her excitement. Erica's eyes widened in surprise, and she set her book aside. "What? Oh my gosh, Ashley! I'm going to be an aunt!" Erica squealed, throwing her arms around Ashley's neck. Ryan sat down on the other side of Ashley, smiling at Erica. "We're having a girl," he said, his eyes shining with happiness. Erica pulled back from Ashley and looked at her with tears in her eyes. "I'm so happy for you guys! A baby girl is going to be so much fun." She hugged Ashley again, this time holding her tightly. As they sat there, basking in the joy of the moment, Erica asked, "How far along are you?" Ashley grinned. "I'm about 12 weeks along. We just got back from the doctor's appointment and saw the baby on the ultrasound." Erica's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I get to be there for the baby shower and all the fun stuff, right?" Ashley laughed. "Of course, sis. We wouldn't have it any other way." The three friends sat there, chatting and laughing, as they basked in the joy of Ashley's pregnancy. Erica asked a million questions, and Ashley and Ryan happily answered them, eager to share every detail of their journey. As they sat there, Ashley felt grateful for her friend and the love they shared. She knew that Erica would be there for her every step of the way, supporting her and loving her unconditionally. The evening passed quickly, filled with laughter and excitement. As Ashley and Ryan prepared to leave, Erica hugged them tightly. "I'm so happy for you guys.
