**Chapter 3: Descent into Darkness**

Part 3

As Sophie stood against the locked door of her apartment, trying to process the horror she had just escaped, her phone buzzed with an incoming text from Mr. Jenkins. "You can't hide forever, Sophie. You're going to have to make a decision. Either you get undressed and we discuss the arrangement, or you're out. You'll be finding a new place to live, and I won't be refunding your deposit. The choice is yours." Sophie's heart sank as she read the text, her mind racing with the implications. She knew she had to get out of there, but where could she go? The thought of being on the streets, with no job and no savings, was terrifying. As she stood there, frozen in indecision, her phone buzzed again. This time, it was a voice message from Mr. Jenkins. "Hey, Sophie. I think we need to be clear about what's at stake here. If you don't come back and... accommodate me, you'll be sorry. You'll be living on the streets, and you'll be doing whatever it takes to survive. I'm sure you know what I mean. You can either get smart and get undressed, or you can get out and get fucked. Your choice." Sophie felt a wave of revulsion wash over her as she listened to the message. She knew she had to report him, but who would believe her? She was just a vulnerable young woman, and he was a powerful landlord. As she stood there, trying to process her next move, Sophie realized that she had to take action. She couldn't just sit back and let Mr. Jenkins bully her into some sort of twisted arrangement. She started to make a plan, reaching out to her friends and family, hoping that someone would be able to help her. But as she was on the phone, her hand shaking with fear, she heard a knock at the door. It was a soft, hesitant knock, but it was enough to make Sophie's heart skip a beat. Who could it be? And what did they want? Sophie's instincts screamed at her to stay quiet, to pretend she wasn't home. But something about the knock seemed... off. It didn't sound like Mr. Jenkins. It sounded... almost friendly. With a surge of trepidation, Sophie made her way to the door, peering through the peephole to see who was on the other side. What she saw made her heart sink, and her blood run cold. It was her neighbor, Mr. Thompson, the one who had always seemed so nice. But as she looked into his eyes, Sophie saw something that made her question everything. Something that made her wonder if she was truly alone in this nightmare.
