Meredith likes that Derek is way older than her, more experienced and all dominant. Meredith’s expertise in surgery should lay more towards neurosurgery, where she begins to shadow him more, and Derek should be in full attending mode while playing with the hot tension between them in the OR. Addison is always jealous and oftentimes harsh and mistreating Meredith, to which Derek becomes overly protective of her.
