"Snowed Under: A Cold Front in Diplomacy"
Prompt: Madam secretary Elizabeth McCord is on a diplomatic mission in the northern territories of Canada, and she is utterly exhausted by the lack of sleep and time outside hiking through snow to understand the problem with permafrost. As she flies back to DC, she feels the tickle in her throat of the first sign of a cold. However, there is no time to rest because as soon as she landed there is a new crisis with China. Elizabeth has to work late and is exhausted, feeling awful. A fitful and feverish night sleep does not help, and Elizabeth awakes feeling worse than before with a full on case of the sniffles. Elizabeth has to meet with minister Chen from China, and embarrassingly has to sneeze and blow her nose a few times. The president asks her to brief him, so she makes her way to the White House, feeling worse than ever. Her cold medicine wore off and she was now developing a chesty cough, which broke loose during her meeting with the president.
