"Veins of Obsession"
Prompt: A near-future science fiction story. The protagonist, Polin, is a young male , white-haired, brown-eyed, average-sized company employee. The plot of this science fiction story is this: humans have become integrated with technology, and the world is now ruled by large corporations, but Earth no longer exists, so people have been living on another planet for centuries. Polin runs the security arm of the better of these corporations. Life on the new planet is quite pleasant, but a gas or chemical in the atmosphere causes certain factors to develop in a small percentage of people. The plot is this: if a person harbors an incalculable attachment or obsession to an event or finding, it becomes their curse, causing certain anomalies. One day, protagonist Polin receives news that an anomaly owner has escaped and is being sought. He teams up with a group of people to search for him, but this proves to be the biggest mistake of his life. Nash is a forensic doctor with a lifelong interest in the functioning of the human body. However, one day, this obsession reaches its peak, and he is fired from his job. His intense fascination with blood mixes with the atmosphere of their planet, and he begins to exhibit anomalies. Nash has become unrecognizable. The only thing he hears is the sound of blood flowing through his veins. Polin acquires a wealth of information about Nash through his research, but Nash has already smelled the blood in his prey's veins. Events unfold, and Nash and Polin encounter each other several times. Polin is gentle and has a profound fear of death, while Nash is passionate. In one incident, before Nash's capture, Polin puts a gun to Nash's head, and Nash experiences something for the first time in a long time. Nash is captured and held in a facility. The events they experience, the dead soldiers, and Nash's sadistic and masochistic behavior, become deeply traumatic for Polin, and Polin sneaks into the facility to talk to Nash. Nash is thrilled to see Polin and tells him about his inner turmoil and obsessions. Polin is horrified. Days later, a massive explosion causes Nash's escape, and Polin is hospitalized. When Polin awakens, there is no trace of the old Polin. His character is driven by fear and survival instincts. His mind is solely occupied with Nash. And now he has a major phobia of blood. Whenever he sees blood, he freezes and can't move, but despite this, Polin becomes braver and more ruthless than his old self. Everything changes when he meets Nash again one day.
