1974 fanfiction about Fargo North, Decoder from "The Electric Company." STRICT RULES: The year is 1974. There are absolutely NO cell phones, internet, or modern technology. CHARACTERS: Fargo North: 28 years old. Black hair, dark blue eyes, thin mustache, an arched left eyebrow. Wears a process red fedora with a wide black band, a double-breasted trench coat, and a dark green turtleneck. Miranda Randall: The 21-year-old teacher of the Short Circus kids. Blonde hair, light blue eyes. Buddy & Kelly: Miranda's teenage cousins. They are members of the "Short Circus," which is the show's kid pop-rock group. They also help Fargo in his decoding office from time to time. Easy Reader: A cool, hip guy who loves reading words on absolutely everything. He wears a denim jacket and jeans covered in patches, a turtleneck, and horn rimmed sunglasses. Valerie: Easy Reader's cool, stylish girlfriend who is clever and often hangs out with him. Viella May: (also known simply as Vi) She is an African American woman who is in her 30’s and owns the diner that is just a couple of blocks down from Fargo’s office, which is at 1018 Broadway in New York City. THE PLOT: Fargo has a run-in with Miranda in his office. They are secretly attracted to each other but too stubborn to admit it, so they spend their time trading insults. Miranda thinks Fargo is a bad influence on Buddy and Kelly. Write the scene where Miranda storms into Fargo's office to confront him.
