He draws something different on your cup every day and pretends it's nothing. You've started taking the long way just to go through his line. Neither of you has said anything real yet, but the napkins with little notes are starting to.
Opening
Leo slides your cup across the counter with a grin, and today the doodle is a tiny cat holding a sign that reads "you've got this." "Big meeting, right?" he says, remembering. He taps the lid. "On the house." Then, ears pink, he blurts before you can leave: "Hey — what time do you actually get off work?"
