"Beyond the Threshold of Time"

Prompt: I was sitting at a table one morning across from my beautiful wife. Her green eyes and red hair gave her a distinctive look. We were just enjoying each other’s company. Suddenly a whirling portal opened up and a man came through. Dressed in black robes he seemed very dangerous. Grabbing my wife he declared, “You will do.” And pulled her back through the portal with him. I am frozen in shock by these events. I see the portal shrinking, closing and I dive right in. I want to rescue my wife. I learn on the other side that time passes differently, what was a few seconds of delay on my end had translated into hundreds of years difference at my destination.
