"Beyond the Arena's Shadow"

Prompt: River Odair is the younger sister of finnick odair. Winning the hunger games at age 12 she’s been subjected to many horrors. Finnick has done his best to protect her. During a trip to district 2 she meets Cato Hadley. They start dating at the age of 16. He volunteers for the same games katniss and peeta are in. He makes it to the end of the game before Katniss sends him to his death. Believing he was dead river falls into a pit of despair with no one to comfort her but finnick. Soon she meets the new head game maker who happens to be a district 13 rebel. He informs her that they have Cato and he’s alive just in district 13s hospital. They say she can see him again as long as her and finnick join the rebellion and protect katniss and peeta as katniss is the mockingjay. They don’t know Cato is alive and katniss and peeta don’t know they’re being protected. Finnick and river go down to district 13 with Johanna mason (they’re close friends) and she sees Cato again for the first time since he left for the games. He’s in a hospital bed. She tells him that she’s leaving for the quarter quell games with finnick in a few days and she has to protect katniss and peeta (they’re close friends tried to kill him during the previous games). Then finnick, river, and Johanna leave district 13 to go back to the capital and participate in the games (the rest follows the same storyline as movies 2 and 3)
