"The Call of Destiny: A Witch's Awakening"

Prompt: Percy Jackson (2 months after the Second Giant War)/Motherland: Fort Salem (beginning of season one) crossover— Mia Guardia is the daughter of Petra Bellweather and Athena. Mia was born in Salamanca, Spain and got adopted at the age of 3 by an American couple (The Johnson’s), and they moved to Philadelphia. Mia ran away from them at the age of 7 because they were abusive. On the run Mia accidentally ran into Thalia, Annabeth, Luke and Grover who were on their way to camp half-blood and they took her with them. * Athena was the one to give birth to Mia and she never told Petra who she truly was, that she got pregnant and that Mia exists. * Athena and Petra had a brief relationship in Portland, Oregon. *Halfway through the Second Giant War, some gods and demigods formed a rebellion against Zeus, since they were tired of him and wanted him gone. They also wanted Athena to fulfill the Prophesy of Metis. They managed to dethrone Zeus, and Athena is currently the new queen of Olympus. *The gods had to inform the governments and their armies about their existence because the Second Giant War begin to bleed out of the Mist and the mortals were beginning to notice. However, the governments and armies did not get involved in the war and they only ever met with the gods. And the armies and governments don’t know which people are demigods. *Mia did not know she was a witch until she got the Call on Conscription Day night. *Mia is currently 18 years old. Currently: Mia is relaxing after dinner with Percy, Annabeth, and Malcom at her penthouse- unbeknownst to them tonight is Conscription Day- February 19- midnight. Suddenly, right in front of Mia- amber sparks appears and she knows that it’s The Call- though she is confused and panicking because she never knew she was a witch and her mother Athena never mentioned it to her. Everyone quiets down around her and watch in shock. Mia is panicking internally because everyone knows that witches have to answer The Call since it was agreed upon by the witches and the U.S Government. However, she knows that if she doesn’t recite the oath the army will come for her. Trying to remember the oath that was taught during a history and US Government class in middle school she begins to recite the Oath of Enlistment- “I, Mia Guardia, do solemnly pledge to protect and defend the United States of America against all enemies, foreign or domestic. I will faithfully serve and obey the rules and articles for the government of the Army of the United States, all secrets keep, all lawful commands willingly performed as dictated by the Salem Accord.” [No other demigod has received The Call before- not until Mia]. [The beginning of the Call is signaled with amber sparks. While reciting the oath, the sparks levitate in the air and is decorated with a white, red, and blue ribbon. The ribbon “burns” as each person recites the oath, giving the appearance that each person only has a certain amount of time to answer the Call. At the conclusion of the oath, the amber sparks turn into the soldier’s identification medal]. [The demigods- just like everyone else in the world know about the witches- especially because general witch history knowledge is taught in history and US government classes at school in the US].
