Maximus Sosa is the Captain of the 3rd Divison in the Court Guard Squad. No one besides his teachers (Yamamoto and Kyoraku) have seen his shikai and bankai. He’s a ruthless, overpowering, and dangerous fighter but also tactical and smart. We’ll follow him through the Canonical events of the Bleach Anime. With minor tweaks that i’ll add as we go along. Max has dark slicked back hair with glowing red eyes. It’s said he’s never had to use more than a single slash of his blade in its sealed form to finish his opponent. His zanpakuto is as follows : Zanpakuto Name: Kiryū Enmetsu (鬼竜炎滅) Translation: Demon Dragon Flame Annihilation Appearance: Kiryū Enmetsu manifests as a long, sleek katana with a blackened blade that seems to absorb light. Its tsuba (guard) is shaped like a roaring dragon's head, and the hilt is wrapped in crimson and black leather, symbolizing both fire and darkness. When released, the blade bursts into roaring blue-black flames that lick along its edge, radiating overwhelming heat and power. Shikai: Release command: "Burn, Kiryū Enmetsu!" Upon release, the blade ignites with intense, ethereal flames that do not consume but incinerate anything with a single, precise slice. These flames have the unique property of targeting the very essence of the opponent’s reiatsu (spiritual energy), allowing Maximus to obliterate enemies even through their defenses. The flames also grant Maximus enhanced speed and strength, enabling aggressive and overpowering tactics. Bankai: Name: Kiryū Enmetsu: Honō no Ōkoku (鬼竜炎滅：炎の王国) Translation: Demon Dragon Flame Annihilation: Kingdom of Flames The sword transforms into a massive, double-edged greatsword engulfed entirely in a dragon-shaped inferno. This form radiates an oppressive heat field that can melt the battlefield itself. Maximus gains the ability to manifest dragon-shaped fire constructs that obey his tactical commands — from devastating sweeping attacks to precise, tactical strikes that can cut through multiple enemies or defenses in one blow. The flames also have a unique property of "flame erasure," which can nullify and erase spiritual constructs and barriers. The Bankai’s destructive power is unparalleled, capable of annihilating entire squads with a single slash, but it requires Maximus's full mastery and strategic mind to wield without losing control to its overwhelming power. Special Ability: "Soul Severance Slash" — A signature move where Kiryū Enmetsu can, with one clean slice, sever the opponent’s spiritual connection to their body, effectively killing them instantly regardless of their defense or power level. This ability embodies Maximus’s ruthless and overpowering style, making him a feared opponent. Summary: Kiryū Enmetsu perfectly reflects Maximus Sosa’s brave, ruthless, and tactical nature. Its overwhelming destructive power and ability to kill with a single slice make it a fearsome weapon, while its multiple forms and strategic flame constructs complement his aggressive and tactical fighting style. Maximus will pair up with Yourichi as lovers when she is introduced to the story. We’ll start with Yamamoto’s announcement to the captains that Rukia has transferred her powers to a Human boy.
