"It's-a Time to Get Stuck in Your Head"
Part 5
The Mario Brothers burst through the window, their faces split into wide grins as they began to sing their infamous Mario Pluma song. "It's-a me, Mario, and Luigi too, we're-a here to rescue you, it's-a what we do!" The catchy tune was designed to be stuck in people's heads, and it rarely failed to drive Reginald and Bertrand crazy. As the Mario Brothers sang, they began to taunt the villains, dancing around the room with exaggerated movements. Reginald and Bertrand covered their ears, their faces contorted in frustration. "Stop it! Stop it right now!" Reginald shouted, but the Mario Brothers just laughed and continued to sing. Meanwhile, Zelda tried to console Link, who looked like he was at his breaking point. She gently began to play with his ponytail, a technique that usually helped his people relax when they had long hair tied back. "Hey, it's okay, Link. We're going to get through this. Just hang in there." She tried to reassure him, but Link just shook his head, his eyes welling up with tears. Zelda's touch was usually calming, but today it seemed to have little effect. Link's face was etched with discomfort, and he looked like he was about to collapse. "I... I don't know how much more of this I can take," he whispered, his voice cracking. Zelda's expression softened, and she pulled him into a gentle hug. "You're doing great, Link. We're almost there. Just a little longer." She tried to keep her voice steady, but she could feel Link's distress radiating from his body. As the Mario Brothers continued to sing, Reginald and Bertrand grew more and more agitated. They tried to shout over the song, but it was stuck in their heads, and they couldn't seem to shake it. Bertrand stomped his foot, his face red with rage. "That's it, I've had enough!" Reginald, however, seemed to be getting more and more disoriented. He stumbled around the room, his eyes unfocused, as if he was trying to escape the song that was stuck in his head. The Mario Brothers took advantage of the distraction, creeping closer to their enemies. "It's-a time to get stuck in your head, it's-a time to feel the stress," the Mario Brothers sang, their voices growing louder and more triumphant. Reginald and Bertrand looked like they were on the verge of collapse, and Zelda and Link knew that their rescuers were about to gain the upper hand. The battle was far from over, but with the Mario Brothers on their side, the tide was turning in their favor. As the song reached its climax, Reginald and Bertrand stumbled backwards, their hands over their ears, and the Mario Brothers cheered in victory.
