"Shadows of the Red and Yellow Scarf"

Prompt: . . . . Mitsuba sousuke. Mitsuba Sousuke (三葉惣助, Mitsuba Sousuke?), commonly called Mitsuba (ミツバ, Mitsuba?), was a ghost haunting Kamome Academy. Currently, he is a supernatural and the representative of the 3rd School Mystery. The Original Mitsuba was a ghost who was haunting Kamome Academy School's lockers. In life, he was a student at Kamome Academy's School division and was a member of the photography club before his death. Originally, he was a former classmate of Minamoto Kou before he died prior to the beginning of the series, and he became a ghost who spent time in the school lockers, until Yugi Tsukasa forcibly turned him into the Broken Neck. Hanako then killed him to end his suffering. Some time later, a new version of Mitsuba was recreated by Tsukasa out of the Original Mitsuba's soul and countless component supernaturals. Then Tsukasa had him consume the former School Mystery No.3's heart, resulting in him becoming the current representative of the 3rd School Mystery, the Hell of Mirrors. Mitsuba and sousuke are two different people. Sousuke is Kou’s childhood bestfriend, but when Tsukasa turned him into the broken neck, and hanako killed him to take away his pain; is when mitsuba was created. Here is a metaphor. You have a shoe, with a sock inside it. Take out that sock and replace it with a new sock. Thats just like mitsuba and sousuke. Sousuke was the original sock, but now replaced with mitsuba. Same outside, different insides. But theres a teeny tiny bit of sousukes soul still left inside mitsuba, which mitsuba tries to learn from to become more like sousuke then sousuke even was of himself. For clarity, the Mitsuba who became Broken Neck is referred to as "Original", while the Mitsuba who became the 3rd Mystery is often referred to as "Current." They are further distinguished with the original Mitsuba wearing a yellow scarf and the current Mitsuba wearing a red scarf with tassels. For all intents and purposes, both Mitsubas are in essence, one character. Mitsuba's appearance is androgynous—many of his classmates have commented on his girly looks, and he tends to wear mostly pink outfits. He is a slender and relatively tall teen-aged ghost with pink hair and eyes. He has a mole under his left eye and has medium-length hair with bangs that cover his right eye, and the back of his hair is usually tied up into a small and short ponytail with bobby-hairpins holding it up. He also wears a teal helix piercing on his left ear. The Original Mitsuba dons a yellow scarf with lengthwise light brown stripes and two light blue stripes at the bottom, and a long-sleeved pink cardigan over the Kamome School division uniform; its sleeve always covers his right hand. Following his recreation by Tsukasa in Volume 6, the Current Mitsuba has been shown to wear a new red scarf with five tassels on both ends. Mitsuba's neck scar He has a scar on the back of his neck, presumably a mark from the accident that caused his death. It can be assumed that the burn marks on one side of his scarf were also a result of the incident. Young Appearance After being bullied by his former classmates for his cocky, girlish appearance and foul-mouthed attitude, he later changed himself to be more passive, friendlier, and inadvertently dull when attending Kamome Gakuen. His first meeting with Kou was when he had softer eyes and a gentle smile plastered on his face. In addition, his short hair was tied up into a ponytail and his bangs were parted to the side. Personality Mitsuba is cocky, foul-mouthed, and overly confident in himself, particularly his looks; he often will brag about how cute he is. He also has a tendency to call people by rude nicknames and isn't afraid to insult others. He knows how to get on people's good sides and sometimes acts nice to someone if he wants something from them, or to falsely trust him. He has also been shown to be quick to cry, especially in threatening situations. Due to his personality making him a target of bullying in elementary school, he created another, gentler personality in middle school to get along with others better. During this time, Mitsuba was nice, considerate, and friendly with everyone. This fake persona was created in an attempt to make friends and avoid being bullied again, however it failed, as Mitsuba ended up completely forgettable, thus making no friends and having most of his classmates forget about him. Despite being rude and loud, Mitsuba also has a more mellow side to him. He gets noticeably dispirited when talking about his past and gets lonely very easily. He seems to have a hard time being honest, choosing to hurl harsh words instead. Despite this, at times he is able to genuinely express happiness and kindness, and is shown to care for the wellbeing of others. He is very fond of his camera and photography, almost to the point of obsession, according to Kou. He was a member of the school's photography club and had won several awards for his photos. In his earlier years of being in school, Mitsuba was often bullied for his cocky attitude and girlish appearance. He believed that by changing his persona to be passive and polite in his first year of junior high, he wouldn't get bullied and perhaps make some friends. It didn't work out, however, with him ending up in the background and most of his classmates forgetting about him, much to Mitsuba's dismay. In the coming years, he reverted back to his old personality. Yet on the accounts of the classmates that were in his junior high classes, his former teacher, and the photography club, all of them said that Mitsuba rarely talked with anyone at all. When Nene and Kou visited Mitsuba's house after helping his mom tend to his grave, his mother told them that he learned photography because of his father, with his camera previously belonging to him. According to his mother, he was a natural, just picking up the camera one day and immediately learning how it works. Although he won awards for his photographs, he mainly took pictures of nature and other animals he'd come across, not liking to take pictures of people. When his mother suggested he take a picture of her, Mitsuba rudely demanded she put on nicer clothes and put on makeup before he take a picture of her. Despite how cocky and conceited he was, Mitsuba still had caring intentions, and simply didn't express them openly. He planned to wish his mother a happy birthday by cooking curry for her, which made his mother very happy, despite her son's complaints of doting on him too hard. But in the midst of running to buy the curry's missing potatoes, it was confirmed that he died in an accident on the road in the winter and it would become the last day that his mother would ever see him. Abilities Low-Level Supernatural (Formerly) Mitsuba is visible to the human eye, though distorted, when he grabs a person's hand and asks them if they know who he is at the school's lockers. In other circumstances he is invisible to normal people, except for those with supernatural affiliations such as Kou. Basically nobody can see him besides excorist like kou or people near death/about to die soon. He has a crush on kou. Kou minamoto Minamoto Kou (源光, Minamoto Kou?) is a student at Kamome Academy's School Division and a member of a renowned family of exorcists, the Minamoto Clan. He is also the younger brother of Teru and the older brother of Tiara. Kou is a tall teenage boy with short, spiky dirty blond hair, light blue eyes, and two protruding canine teeth. His delinquent-like personality and aura make him relatively unpopular. He wears a black shirt underneath his teal Kamome Gakuen School uniform with brown stripes, which is sometimes left unbuttoned. He also sports a cream-and-brown striped tie that occasionally hangs untied around his neck and a red sweatband on his right wrist. Kou is always seen wearing a red traffic-safety amulet (omamori) as a piercing on his right ear. Kou keeps his raiteijou―a spirit staff―around with him at all times as a weapon and disguises it as a black umbrella when he is not using it. Currently, Kou cannot use the staff's full power because it has been sealed by Hanako. Personality Kou is cheerful, direct and tends to jump into things headfirst without properly thinking them through. However, he has been shown to grow more mature as the series progresses. He is often misjudged as a bit of a delinquent or rude, but this is actually not the case. He is rash and loud but is also simultaneously very kind and caring. He makes a distinct effort to be polite, as seen when even though he was about to face off with Hanako upon their first meeting, he still took the time to be polite to Nene and warn her about the perceived danger. Kou has a strong sense of justice, and was also kind and open-minded enough to revise his opinion on Hanako and became friends with him, despite the pressure from his older brother to exorcise the ghost and the brothers' long-held belief that all supernaturals are bad. Kou isnt a massive green flag though. Hes just as flawed as any other. He has the need to feel like he must be needed, the hero, and the one to save someone. Thats why he likes mitsuba so much. He is very loyal to his friends and helps them in any way he can, no matter the danger. He is also easily flustered and sometimes makes mistakes due to rushing into things too quickly. (Very shy and flustered during freaky/sexual moments) Abilities Seeing Supernaturals Being from an ancient clan of exorcists, Kou is able to see supernaturals and interact with them (such as touching them and talking to them) without needing to summon them, unlike normal human beings who cannot talk or see supernaturals unless they summon one. Spirit Staff and Lightning He is also able to use his raiteijou to turn his spirit energy into lightning that can effectively counter supernaturals, though it has been mentioned that he has no idea how to use the spirit staff’s power consequently leading to him being electrocuted every time he uses it. Kous type is someone with a cute smile (mitsuba). He is the best cook ever, and can make the most delicious food ever. Kou had a crush on mitsuba. THE PLOT OF THE STORY.
